Taking over the controls today is Tikka. A true 90s baby, deeply connected to their roots as tangata whenua. For them, sound has no borders.
From Ambient to Jungle, Techno to Drum and Bass, Dubstep to Footwork... the only rule is that:
there are no rules.
It’s about creating a sensory experience and a real connection with the listener, an unspoken whanaungatanga.
They’ve shared stages with heavyweights like Madam X, Djrum, and DJ Fuckoff, playing across major festivals in the region. But in the underground, resumes don't need to shout. As the Māori proverb she carries says: "
E kore te kūmara e kī ake he māngaro ia"... The kumara doesn't need to say how sweet it is.
